Volunteer Opportunities From: United Way of Marquette County/ Yoopers United

Join the fun energy the evening before the race and hand out racer information for specific races.  Volunteers will sit at specific race tables and meet and greet the participants.  Report directly to registration and  check in on your phone with the CauseConnect App for Apple or Google It is possible to sign up for both shifts 

Please join us for Pizza and beverages at UP Fabricating Co. and see the behind the scene work that goes into creating the iconic Ore to Shore Awards.  All the tools and instructions will be provided.

Help register our youngest riders for the Junior Rock, Little Rock and Littlest Rock races  Check in at the Volunteer Kiosk, there will be signs posted for volunteer check-in or check in on your phone with the CauseConnect App for Apple or Google  

Help at the Bike Corral by watching the bikes for the riders as they shower and ride the buses back to the start line to retrieve their cars. You will be stationed at Lakeview Arena Check in at the Volunteer Kiosk, there will be signs posted for volunteer check-in or check in on your phone with the CauseConnect App for Apple or Google It is possible to sign up for multiple shifts

Greet the riders as they finish the race with a congratulations and a ribbon  Check in at the Volunteer Kiosk, there will be signs posted for volunteer check-in or check in on your phone with the CauseConnect App for Apple or Google  

Man the road crossings for the youth races to help keep our riders safe.   Vests and other safety equipment will be provided.   Check in at the Volunteer Kiosk, there will be signs posted for volunteer check-in or check  in on your phone with the CauseConnect App for Apple or Google

If you check in with your phone you will look for Jon Becker when you come to Lakeview Arena to get your road crossing assignment.

Crossing locations will be assigned closer to race day.

Volunteers at this opportunity should feel comfortable using computers

  Help participants, spectators and families find the information they need.    Help volunteers check-in and direct them to the appropriate area.    You will be stationed at Lakeview Arena Check in at the Volunteer Kiosk, there will be signs posted for volunteer check-in or check in on your phone with the CauseConnect App for Apple or Google It is possible to sign up for multiple shifts

 Distribute age group awards to riders and congratulate them on their accomplishment.  Shifts overlap so that volunteers can learn how to hand out awards You will be stationed at Lakeview Arena Check in at the Volunteer Kiosk, there will be signs posted for volunteer check-in or check in on your phone with the CauseConnect App for Apple or Google It is possible to sign up for multiple shifts

Join the fun energy Friday evening before the race or Saturday during the race, please volunteer at the merchandise table.   Participants are always looking for merchandise from past races and you can help them find it here during Saturday shifts also.  Check in at the Volunteer Kiosk for the Saturday shifts, there will be signs posted for volunteer check-in or check in on your phone with the CauseConnect App for Apple or Google It is possible to sign up for multiple shifts 

Help at the beginning of the 48 mile ride that starts at N Silver Street & Iron Street in Negaunee. Check in on your phone with the CauseConnect App for Apple or Google  
 

Help at the beginning of the 28 mile ride that starts at Lakeview Elementary School in Negaunee.
