The Letter Carriers' annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive is Saturday, May 11th. Non-perishable food donations left at mailboxes will be collected by letter carriers and delivered to local food pantries.
Volunteers are needed to assist throughout the afternoon:
1-1:30 pm: Arrive at Marquette Post Office (202 W Washington St., Marquette, MI). Assist picking up food from carriers.
3-4 pm: Unload food donations, weigh and distribute them, reload into vehicles for delivery.
4-5 pm: Accompany letter carriers to deliver food to local pantry locations
Volunteers should be able to lift boxes and bags of food donations comfortably. Portions of this activity take place outdoors, so please dress appropriate for the weather.
