We are seeking volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks once the mobile pantry arrives. Volunteer duties include setting up tables, packing bags or boxes with produce items, loading food into vehicles, registering clients, directing traffic, and helping with other needs that arise. The volunteer shift runs from 11:00-2:00pm, though some distributions may finish earlier.
2026 Update- The KI Sawyer Mobile Pantry Distributions are now on Thursdays instead of Wednesdays.
All necessary safety supplies- including gloves, sanitizer, and neon vests will be provided. Restrooms are available, though they are located at a separate site down the road.
Please dress appropriately for all outdoor weather conditions, as events take place outside. We recommend dressing in multiple layers and bringing a drink/snack.
Please note that this food distribution can be physically demanding and may involve bending, lifting, and twisting. If you are interested in volunteering but have any physical limitations, please be sure to notify a UPHCS team member on site. We will work with you to identify tasks that meet your needs and keep you safe.
