Volunteer: Fireworks Tear DownWant a behind the scenes look at the Marquette Fireworks? This is the opportunity for you! Help take down the staging area for the Fireworks. This job includes moving metal racks from the end of the Ore Dock to a barge, from the barge to a U Haul and from the U Haul to a storage facility. This volunteer opportunity is very physical and requires lifting 30+ pound equipment repetitively for the duration of the shift. Activities includes unloading the truck, and assisting the Great Lakes Fireworks pyrotechnicians with transporting the racks and fireworks shells out to the end of the Ore Dock via a barge. Note that this opportunity may end early, as a pyrotechnician license is needed to be on the dock once the boxes of shells are opened. Volunteers must be 18+ and able to lift 30+ lbs repetitively.
