With origins in the mid-1970’s, Great Lakes Recovery Centers, Inc. is a non-profit behavioral health agency that has been offering a diverse range of services throughout Michigan’s Upper Peninsula for the past 40 years.
What We Do
Great Lakes Recovery Centers provides a variety of behavioral health services across the UP. We offer outpatient counseling for both mental health and substance abuse in 8 different locations across the UP. We have three residential treatment facilities for adults with Substance Use Disorder and one for adolescents with Substance Use Disorder. We have four recovery houses for adults beginning their lives in recovery. We also recruit, train and help to retain foster families in the UP, do prevention work in several counties and work with Returning Citizens just released from prison. We have a Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Services program and offer medical services, including treatment for Hepatitis C, women’s health concerns, Medication Assisted Treatment and general medical services.
