Who We Are
Mission: To raise awareness about the caregiving crisis and encourage individuals to enter the field by offering scholarships, stipends, and cost-free training programs.
The CIP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports in-home caregivers and those in need of care throughout the UP. From caregiver training classes to one-on-one support, we’re working to improve caregiving for everyone. The CIP exists for one reason: to do everything we can to raise the standard and quality of in-home caregiving in Marquette County—with plans of reaching the entire United States
What We Do
We address the national shortage of in-home caregivers through three key pillars:
Inform:
- Raise awareness about the caregiver shortage and its impact on everyone.
- Educate the public on why this crisis exists and how they can help.
- Highlight CIP’s initiatives to tackle the problem.
Train:
- Provide free training and certification for entry-level and family caregivers.
- Establish ethical standards and a career path for long-term caregivers.
Incentivize:
- Inspire individuals to become caregivers through scholarships, debt repayment grants, and other incentives.
- Partner with schools, colleges, and retired professionals to recruit and prepare new caregivers.
- Facilitate placements with agencies to ensure a positive start for new caregivers.
By focusing on education, training, and support, we aim to build a sustainable, high-quality caregiving workforce that benefits everyone
