Who We Are

Mission: To provide exceptional hospice and end-of-life care for families and patients with a life-limiting diagnosis.

Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice (LSLC&H) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, community-based organization serving Marquette County since 1979. As Michigan’s oldest existing hospice, LSLC&H provides personal and professional care 24 hours a day 7 days a week. LSLC&H strives to comfort patients and their families during time limiting situations. Hospice is palliative care for patients near the end of their life. Hospice care can be provided in a patients’ home, hospice centers, hospitals, long-term care facilities, or wherever a patient resides. Palliative care focuses on improving a patient’s quality of life by managing pain and other distressing symptoms of a serious life-limiting illness. Palliative care should be provided along with other medical treatments.

What We Do

Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice (LSLCH) provides hospice for patients facing a life-limiting illness.  We also coordinate a Caregiver Community support group. This is an informal group open to the public for caregivers and their loved ones to come together and share their experiences, ideas, socialize and learn. Finally, LSLCH offers education and outreach to the community, bereavement and grief support groups.
