Who We Are
Mission: To educate, inform, and push for a real change in a community where discrimination is often thought to be nonexistent yet still occurs.
Social Justice For Us (SJFU) was founded on June 3, 2020, and it is in dire need of support for marginalized voices here in the Upper Peninsula. We have created a united front to help fight injustice daily.
What We Do
Social Justice For Us is uplifting the voices of marginalized people in Marquette County. In rural, predominantly white communities, it’s hard to organize any one group for underrepresented peoples, including but not limited to BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and impoverished communities. Oppression is intersectional, so we have created a united front to fight against injustice and to promote education.
