Who We Are

Mission: To promote the exploration and enjoyment of scuba diving in the Great Lakes region while fostering a commitment to preserving the natural beauty and environmental health of these freshwater ecosystems.

The Great Lakes Scuba Diving and Lake Preservation Club was founded by a group of diving enthusiasts who were passionate about exploring the Great Lakes while ensuring the protection of these precious freshwater ecosystems. Established in the early 2000s, the club was born out of a desire to combine recreational scuba diving with environmental stewardship. The founders recognized the need to protect the Great Lakes’ unique underwater environments, from historic shipwrecks to vibrant aquatic life.

Over the years, the club has grown into a dedicated community of divers, conservationists, and environmental advocates. Members engage in regular scuba diving expeditions to explore the hidden treasures of the lakes, while also participating in conservation efforts such as lake cleanups, habitat restoration projects, and environmental education programs. The club works closely with local environmental organizations, government agencies, and educational institutions to promote sustainable practices and raise awareness about the importance of preserving the Great Lakes for future generations.

What We Do

Today, the Great Lakes Scuba Diving and Lake Preservation Club is a hub for both novice and experienced divers who are passionate about diving and lake preservation. The club continues to organize diving trips, educational workshops, and conservation initiatives, all while fostering a sense of community and shared responsibility for the protection of one of the largest freshwater ecosystems in the world.
