Who We Are

Mission: To instill in young people lifetime values and develop in them leadership skills and ethical character as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law.

The Scouting America, Michigan Crossroads Council is a regional organization serving Scouts in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The MCC provides a wide range of Scouting programs for youth and families, helping young people develop leadership, outdoor skills, and a strong sense of citizenship. The council encompasses various districts and serves thousands of Scouts in local communities.

What We Do

We serve families and youth in our programs throughout the Upper Peninsula as a part of the MCC. Our family orientated program is Cub Scouts and is for 5-10 year old boys and girls and the whole family can participate. Scouts, BSA is for youth aged 11-17 and boys and girls are in separate Troops in enjoying the outdoors and working on becoming the leaders of tomorrow. We operate Camp Hiawatha near Chatham for our local Scouts to use year-round. We also have some outside groups rent it as well in the non-summer months.

We are always looking for volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of youth in the U.P. We could use volunteers who help directly with the youth, volunteers for our Board, people who want to help with the maintenance of our Camp Hiawatha and more!
