Who We Are

Mission: To provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where children, youth, and families in the community can access resources, develop life skills, and engage in activities that promote personal growth, education, and social development.

Lake Superior Village Youth and Family Center is a non-profit center which hosts multiple programs for the low-income, at-risk population of youth, ages 5-17, in the surrounding community. The Youth and Family Centers purpose is to provide a safe, inclusive, loving and reliable place for the area youth to learn and grow. All funding for supplies, programing, yearly expenses, and operations costs are procured by generous donations, grants, and sponsorships from the local community as well as state and federal funding.

What We Do

We are currently providing healthy meals, tutoring, mentoring, and After School programing, and Summer Programing, free of charge, to the Lake Superior Village and surrounding community. The Youth and Family Center is continuing its Summer Program this year with the hopes of adding new opportunities in STEM Programs, continuing our Free Meals for Youth Program, and establishing a few Youth Empowerment Programs to give the youth a place to overcome self-doubt and self-esteem issues.
