The Zonta Club of the Marquette Area is a local chapter of Zonta International, a global organization dedicated to empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.
What We Do
Activities and Initiatives:
- Scholarships and Grants: The club provides scholarships and grants to students and organizations in the community through various fundraising activities, including Koeze nut sales, the Blueberry Festival, and the annual Honor a Woman event.
- Service Projects: Zonta participates in service events such as Picnic Rocks cleanup and organizing holiday dinners for the Marquette Alternative High School.
- Advocacy: The club encourages participation in initiatives like the 16 Days of Activism, aiming to raise awareness and take action against gender-based violence.
Through these efforts, the Zonta Club of the Marquette Area contributes to the empowerment of women and girls in the community and beyond.
