Who We Are
Mission: To promote the sport of dog sledding, supporting mushers, and fostering community engagement.
The U.P. 200 & Midnight Run are premier sled dog races in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, born from a shared passion for sled dog racing among local families in 1988. Established in 1990 with the dedication of a small group and support from the community, these events have grown into cherished traditions, showcasing the skill of mushers and the incredible bond with their dogs. Centered on community, sport, and the love of the dogs, the U.P. 200 & Midnight Run continue to bring people together each year to celebrate the spirit of sled dog racing.
What We Do

- Promote sled dog sports
- Sponsor mid-distance sled dog racing events in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, including but not limited to the UP200, Midnight Run, and Jack Pine 30 sled dog championship races, as well as other events which support our objectives
