Volunteers are needed to help with various duties once the mobile pantry arrives, such as setting up tables, packing bags/boxes, loading food into vehicles, registering clients, parking lot/traffic detail and any other need that may arise. The volunteer shift is from 11:00am to 2:00pm, however, some distributions occasionally end before 2:00pm.
Masks, gloves, sanitizing items and neon vests are all provided. Restrooms are available, but they are found at a different location down the road.
Please dress appropriately for all weather conditions as all events are held outdoors. Dress in layers. Bringing a beverage and snack is recommended.
Food distribution is a physical activity that can involve bending, lifting, and twisting. If you would like to volunteer but have existing neck or back issues, please notify a UPHCS leader on site to identify tasks that may be safer for you.
Location: Building 604 Corner of Ave C and 3rd St, KI Sawyer, MI 49841.

The UPHCS team will have Feeding America signs with arrows instructing where to turn starting at the KI turn off M-553 by 10:30am the day of distribution. Building #604 is located next to J & J Recycling. The truck will be parked in the rear parking lot of building #604.
