As part of the UPHCS Community Resource Fair.
This one-time distribution is open to the public from 1:00-3:00pm, but we need volunteers to arrive by 12:00pm.
NMU Berry Events Center: Parking lot Corner of Fair Ave/Pine St
Volunteers are needed to help with various duties once the mobile pantry arrives, such as, setting up tables, packing bags/boxes, loading food into vehicles, registering clients, parking lot detail and any other need that may arise. Shifts are generally from 1:00pm - 3:00pm.
Rest rooms are available and masks, gloves, sanitizing items and vests are all provided.
Please dress appropriately for weather conditions, as all events are held outdoors. Bringing a beverage, snack and face masks are recommended.
Food distribution is a physical activity that can involve bending, lifting, and twisting. If you would like to volunteer but have existing neck or back issues, please notify a UPHCS leader on site, to identify tasks that may be more safe for you.
