Feeding America West Michigan Mobile Pantry - KI SAWYER 2023

KI Sawyer AFB - Building 604 on the Corner of Avenue C and Third Street, Gwinn, MI

Volunteers are needed to help with various duties once the mobile pantry arrives, such as, setting up tables, packing bags/boxes, loading food into cars, registering clients, parking lot detail and any other need that may arise. Shifts are generally from 11:00am to 2:00pm, but are flexible.

Rest rooms are available and masks, gloves, sanitizing items and vests are all provided.

Please dress appropriately for weather conditions, as all events are held outdoors. Bringing a beverage, snack and face masks are recommended.

Food distribution is a physical activity that can involve bending, lifting, and twisting. If you would like to volunteer but have existing neck or back issues, please notify a UPHCS leader on site, to identify tasks that may be more safe for you.
